About Aranyak
The word Aranyak means: 'that which takes place in the forest'.
In ancient times, explorers of the inner world would journey into dense forests, deep in conversation with each other. There, still immersed in the dialogue of life, in the secluded forest, the word 'Aranyak' was born, to indicate all the innovative unknown, unknowable that transpired between them.
This platform by the name of 'Aranyak' is an invitation to such friends—those who are eager to unravel the mystery of the universe just by playing it, or to others immensely passionate about life—to walk together in the deep forest of life and to quench their thirst of seeing, knowing and being. Life, after all, is composed of happiness and sorrow in its fullness.
Be alert, though. This walking together is not with the intention of getting or finding something in the end. Come if you are ready to walk as you would walk with friends; sauntering together inside an unknown, unknowable forest, ready to look, really look at the uncertainty with great care. The 'what is' itself changes every moment.
Inner thoughts, feelings, the way they all move together, as well as the 'I' in the middle of all these, around which everything is woven… be ready to meet them all together. This forest of inner life is such that no matter how many research it and how much is researched, the answers and maps that are conjured are but transient.
Only fresh, deeper and more distilled questions are accepted.
The answer will transpire from observing this philosophy, in the form of radical transformation of life. It is like a wanderer going for a walk inside a forest, curiously observing whatever comes before him or her. The wanderer levels up and forward, deeper into the wooded terrain, depending on nothing but pure presence, curiosity and being. The gazer and the gazee merge, such that the screen of the mind remains pure like a crystal in order to reflect the innovative panoramas that emerge moment by moment. Then a time will come when the forest will reveal its whole secret to the traveller. In this way, a person who has returned from a trip to the forest does not remain; just as the being who wove the cocoon is not the one who emerges from it.
Naturally, much of the priceless value of the forest is mixed in the wanderer’s consciousness. With the disappearance of the forest, the person who sees it also starts disappearing. The truth that remains after the due end of this virtual forest and its path, is easily transmitted in life.
This platform nests neither teacher nor disciple. There are no fixed rules here, either. Everyone is equally responsible and a participant in the dialogue. This platform is meant to see life in its entirety without any fixed, accepted proofs. If the evidence from direct observation matches what has been said elsewhere, so be it.
Aryanak promises to be a platform where there are conversations, along with solitude and nature's abundant company. This space offers the freedom to dialogue on life, meditation, relationship, love and sorrow… not with the aim of arriving at a solution, but to pursue complete observation.
This is not a place for protest. It is about overcoming whatever obstacles there are, to seeing oneself.
There will be online dialogues on the platform of Aranyak, as well as such conversations that can be held physically by gathering friends for a few days somewhere in the company of nature, untouched by human intelligence. This is the deepest process of meditation in the truest sense.
आरण्यक शब्द का अर्थ होता है, ‘जो वन में घटित हो!’
पुराने समय में अंतस जीवन वन के खोजी आपस में बातचीत करते हुए घने वन में चले ज़ाया करते थे। वहाँ एकांत वन में जीवन पर हुए संवाद में जो कुछ भी उनके बीच अभिनव अनजाना अनबूझा घटित होता था, उसके संकलन को नाम दिया गया था ‘आरण्यक’।
‘आरण्यक’ नाम से यह मंच जीवन के निविड़ वन में साथ चलने हेतु ऐसे मित्रों के लिए आमंत्रण है, जो जहाँ एक तरफ़ जीवन के रहस्य को बस खेल खेल में उघाड़ने में उत्सुक हों, वहीं दूसरी तरफ़ वे प्रचंड गम्भीरता से जो सुख-दुःख से रचा पचा जीवन है, उसको उसकी परिपूर्णता में देखने समझने की प्यास से भी भरे हुए हों।
यह साथ साथ चलना अंत में कुछ पाने या कुछ खोजने की मंशा से नहीं है, वरन ऐसे है, जैसे अनायास ही मित्र साथ साथ भ्रमण के लिए किसी अज्ञात वन में निकले हों और बाहर जो वन है, उसकी अनिश्चितता को बड़ी ही सावधानी से देखते हुए भीतर भी क्षण क्षण बदलता ‘जो है’ उसे भी जस का तस निहारते चलते हों।
भीतर के सोच विचार, भाव, उन सब के इकट्ठा चलने का ढंग साथ ही इन सब के बीच का वह ‘मैं’ जिसके इर्द गिर्द यह सब बुना जाता है, सबको एक साथ देखते जाते हों।
अंतस जीवन का यह वन ऐसा है, जिसमें गहरे उतरने के लिए उत्तर और मानचित्र कितने भी शोध कर लाए गए हों, वे स्वीकार नहीं होते हैं। मात्र ताजे गहरे और गहराते जाते प्रश्न स्वीकृत होते हैं। उत्तर तो अज्ञात रूप से इस दर्शन अवलोकन से जीवन के आमूल रूपांतरण के रूप में स्वयं ही जीवन में घटित होता जाएगा।
यह कुछ ऐसा है, जैसे निविड़ वन के भीतर सैर के लिए निकला पथिक वन में गहरे उतरते हुए जो भी दृश्य समक्ष आते जाते हैं, उन्हें कौतूहल पूर्वक निहारता हुआ और और गहरे वन में प्रवेश करता जाता है। साथ ही जो भी निहार चुकता है, उसे चित्त पटल से पोंछता जाता है ताकि, क्षण क्षण उभरते अभिनव दृश्यों को यथावत प्रतिबिम्बित होने के लिए चित्त का पटल स्फटिक की भाँति निर्मल रहे। फिर ऐसा समय आता है, जब वन अपना पूरा रहस्य पथिक के समक्ष उघाड़ देता है।
इस भाँति जंगल के भ्रमण से लौटे व्यक्ति के पास दिखाने को भले कुछ नहीं रहता, लेकिन वह व्यक्ति जो जंगल में प्रवेश किया होता है, वही व्यक्ति बाहर नहीं आता है। सहज ही बहुत कुछ उसका व्यर्थ, जंगल सोख चुका होता है। बहुत कुछ उसकी चेतना में जंगल का अमूल्य घुल-मिल चुका होता है।
अंतस के वन में भी ऐसे प्रवेश हो सके, तो एक चामत्कारिक घटना घट सकती है। अंतस का वन तब तक रहता है, जब तक उसको ठीक से देखा न गया हो। अंतस के वन में ठीक से जो भी कुछ है, चाहे वह शुभ-अशुभ हो, अच्छा बुरा हो उसको बिना सही ग़लत ठहराए देखते ही वह वन विलीन होने लगता है। वन के विलीन होने के साथ ही उसे देखने वाला भी विलीन होने लगता है। इस आभासी वन के व उसके पथिक के सम्यक् अंत के बाद जो सत्य बच रहता है, वह वहाँ जीवन में सहज ही संचरित होता है।
इस मंच पर न कोई गुरु है, न कोई शिष्य है। न ही कोई तय विधान है। हर व्यक्ति समान रूप से संवाद का उत्तरदायी और प्रतिभागी है। इस मंच पर स्वयं के जीवन को देखने में किसी भी दर्शन मत का कोई खंडन मंडन नहीं है, लेकिन किसी भी पूर्व आग्रह को स्थान नहीं है।
यह मंच जीवन को समूचे स्वरूप में बिना किसी तय, स्वीकृत प्रमाण के सीधे देखने के लिए है। यदि सीधे अवलोकन से वे प्रमाण मेल खाते हों जो कहीं अन्यत्र भी कहे गए हों, तो हो जाएँ। लेकिन किसी भी पूर्व तय धारणा से जीवन को देखना, न देखना ही है।
आरण्यक ऐसा मंच है, जहाँ पर ध्यान के, सम्बंध के, प्रेम के, दुःख के जीवन से सीधे जुड़े प्रश्नों पर मुक्त संवाद हो सकें! किसी हल पर पहुँचने के लिए नहीं, कि उस हल का बाद में अनुशीलन, अवलोकन हो बल्कि, इस कुशलता से संवाद, अवलोकन हो कि, उसमें ही हल जीवन में घटित होता चले।
संक्षेप में यह मंच किसी दार्शनिक सिद्धांत के प्रतिपादन, समर्थन, विरोध हेतु नहीं है। यह निपट स्वयं को देखने के लिए जो भी बाधाएँ हैं, उनके साथ साथ चलते हुए उन्मूलन के लिए है। यह सही अर्थों में ध्यान की गहनतम प्रक्रिया है।
आरण्यक के मंच पर सँवाद आनलाइन भी होंगे साथ ही ऐसे भी होंगे, जो कहीं मनुष्य की बुद्धि से अनछुई प्रकृति के सानिध्य में मित्रों के साथ कुछ दिनों के लिए इकट्ठा होकर प्रत्यक्ष रूप से भी हो सकें।
मनुष्य की बुद्धि से अनछुई प्रकृति प्रायः सहयोगी हो जाती है, जीवन के उस हिस्से को उद्घाटित करने के लिए, जो अनछुआ है। जहाँ सँवाद भी हों, साथ ही एकांत व प्रकृति का प्रचुर सानिध्य भी मिले।
