Dharmraj’s role on the Aranyak stage is only that of a 'medium'. A 'medium' is someone who can lift curtains from the deepest questions of life. The medium has no fixed answer. After all, there are no fixed answers in the dynamic science of life.
Have you ever looked through a telescope? A telescope is a powerful tool that notes the movement of planets that change moment by moment in the sky. A telescope shows them as they are. A medium is like that. What the telescope shows outside, the 'medium' shows about the inside. But, unlike the telescope, without which one cannot see far into space, a medium teaches the art of 'seeing’ one’s inner space. Once the art of seeing oneself is learnt, the 'medium' has no role to play.
Here it would be appropriate to clarify that, 'medium' is not in any way talking about revealing or explaining what has been said by scriptures or suitable men or orating on something newly discovered. The medium is telling us to look at the thinking, the fear, at disharmony, at loneliness, at sorrow… all of which happen in our daily life.
From the platform of Aranyak, the medium will share the art he has learnt of seeing 'what is' without errors, with his friends as well. This does not mean, however, that looking at oneself from multiple angles is being encouraged. This is not a free philosophical debate, in which opinions are welcome. It is actually meditation in the purest sense. This is a platform where the means to explore such seeing which is complete is divined.
Dharmraj, a seeker of truth, was born in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. While passing through the ups and downs of life, he turned inward and drew from within the desire to know himself. Through various spiritual philosophies, he came in contact with the teachings of J. Krishnamurti. In his own words, he found in these teachings the clue to see life, to understand himself properly and to move towards the truth, which continues to be the deepest thirst in his soul. By participating in talks/dialogues organized in various Krishnamurti Study Centers including Rajghat and immersing into self-observation in solitude there, he had the opportunity for any creative learnings in life. He also ran a Krishnamurti Study Center in Prayagraj for a few years during his government service.
At present he lives at the foothill of the Himalayas taking formal freedom from his government service, home and family. He also organizes online and offline workshops with friends to know and understand himself. Videos of his workshops and talks are available on the YouTube channel titled, Aaranyak.
आरण्यक मंच पर मेरी भूमिका एक ‘माध्यम’ मात्र की ही है। एक ऐसा ‘माध्यम’ जिस के साथ हम जीवन के गहरे से गहरे प्रश्नों पर से पर्दे उठा सकें। ‘माध्यम’ के पास कोई तय उत्तर नहीं है। जीवन के नित नूतन वितान में कोई भी तय उत्तर होते भी नहीं हैं।
‘माध्यम’ ऐसा है, जैसे एक त्रुटिहीन दूरदर्शी यंत्र। जैसे दूरदर्शी यंत्र के माध्यम से आकाश में क्षण क्षण परिवर्तित हो रही ग्रहों की चाल को पढ़ा जाता है। वे जैसी हैं, जो हैं, उन्हें वैसा का वैसा दूरदर्शी यंत्र दिखा देता है।
फ़र्क़ इतना है कि, दूरदर्शी यंत्र बाहर ‘जो है’ वह दिखाता है, इस ‘माध्यम’ के साथ भीतर ‘जो है’ वह दिखता है। दूरदर्शी यंत्र पर तो फिर भी निर्भरता रहती है, जब भी आकाश में झाँकना होगा। लेकिन एक बार स्वयं को देखने की कला आ गई, फिर ‘माध्यम’ की कोई भूमिका नहीं रह जाती है।
यहाँ यह तथ्य फिर से स्पष्ट कर देना समीचीन होगा कि, ‘माध्यम’ यहाँ किसी भी तरह से शास्त्रोक्त या आप्त पुरुषों की कही हुई या कुछ नई खोज कर लाई चीज़ देखने दिखाने की बात नहीं कह रहा है। माध्यम हमारे दैनन्दिन जीवन में जो सोच-विचार, भय, वैमनस्य, अकेलापन, दुःख घट रहा है, उसे सम्यक् रूप से देखने की ही बात कह रहा है।
इस तरह देखने में कोई क्रांति घटित होती है, कोई नितांत रूप से अभिनव जीवन जगह लेता है। तो वह देखने वाले का अपना उद्योग है। उसमें ‘माध्यम’ की कोई भूमिका नहीं है।
‘माध्यम’ न किसी गुरु का न अपना और न ही किसी धर्म सम्प्रदाय का प्रतिनिधि है। न वह किसी अति प्राचीन अथवा अति नवीन, न किसी अन्य के, न ही अपने आप्त वचनों के संकलन शिक्षाओं का प्रचार कर रहा है।
वह निपट अपने जीवन में ‘जो है’ उसको बिना त्रुटि के देखने की कला सीख रहा है। आरण्यक के मंच से वह मित्रों के साथ साथ भी वही कला बाँटेगा।
यद्यपि ‘माध्यम’ के पास स्वयं को देखने की कला सिखाने का कोई प्राधिकार नहीं है। फिर भी इसका अर्थ यह नहीं है कि, स्वयं को कई कोणों से देखने को प्रोत्साहित किया जा रहा है। यह कोई मुक्त दार्शनिक शास्त्रार्थ जैसा नहीं है, जिसमें अनेकानेक मन्तव्यों का स्वागत हो।
यह वस्तुतः शुद्धतम अर्थों में ध्यान है। अर्थात् ऐसे देखने का अन्वेषण करना जो कि, सम्पूर्ण हो! ऐसा देखना जो कि ऐसा हो, जिसमें बिना किसी अपेक्षा के पूरी चेतना आमूल रूप से मन के पूरे व्यापार को समझ सके! फिर उसी समझ से सम्यक् रूपांतरण घटित हो सके।
